@Murcha - Thank you, Anne! I'll be responding to your meme passion quilt post tonight. I'm running a little late for work right now, but I'm heading into your blog - and then down the hill to work.

@ School Admin - In California, we are just at the tip of the ice berg in learning about budget cuts. I'm crossing my fingers that technology - especially in our lower socio-economic schools - is not viewed as optional for students and teachers.

I believe in the use of technology to speed up the learning of students. It therefore saddens me to learn that in areas where it is most needed, corruption gets the better of the budget for technology in education.

Nice blog!

Angela,

I would love to read your book. I'll email both you and your teacher later today with contact information. I removed your addresses from your comment so that other readers of this blog could learn about the great collaborative work you and your classmates are working on.

Thanks for sharing,

Gail Desler (BlogWalker)

Hi, my name is Angela. My partner Andrew and I, who are in an 8th grade class at Moran Middle School in CT are currently working on a project in which we are creating a childrens' book on the War of 1812. This book also contains our interpretation of the Star Spangled Banner and how the original was created.
We were hoping that we could send you these books. If you could have your class read them, and give any comments they have on it. I wouldn't worry about being harsh, we are looking for ways to improve our books.
We will be sending our books out by the end of February, and we would really appreciate it if you would work with us on this project.
Our class has a wiki and the link is http://www.collaborationnation.wikispaces.com
Our class also has a blog, which is http://www.pbogush.edublogs.org
You can find our own blogs at
http://agr08.learnerblogs.org
and
http://www.abc308.learnerblogs.org
Thank you,
Angela and Andrew

Thank you.
