Latest Updates to EB Manual

Filed Under (Edublogs, Uncategorized) by blogwalker on 26-05-2008 and tagged , , ,

I’ve been working fast and furiously to keep up with all the changes happening at Edublogs.org. I’m pretty sure James Farmer never sleeps in order to keep up with the updates, enhancements, fixes, and forum discussions. So here’s a link to my latest Intro to Edublogs Manual. It’s pretty complete, but I plan to keep making updates as needed and posting the links here as well as in the sidebar (under Resources).

I’ve included directions on adding media, using the new visual editor icons, but so far those images, PowerPoints, etc. have not been uploading. Everything else seems to be working well:-)

A huge virtual hug to James for all his efforts – and Sue Waters too! Check out Sue’s video tour.

    Gail,

I’ve been nervously waiting for the Edublogs update because I’ll be presenting a class for first-time bloggers in a few weeks. (Edublogs will, of course, be our blogging platform.) I knew putting handouts together was going to be a task–especially as the update release got closer to my presentation. You can only imagine my amazement when I found your work on the Edublogs homepage–Wow!

With your permission, I’d love to use your work as part of my presentation. It’s apparent that you’ve put it out there for the world to use, but I’d still like to get your OK!

Thank you for all you’ve done–I’ve learned a lot!

Absolutely, Tim. On my next update, I’ll add a permission to copy for instructional purposes line. Good luck with your training and please let me know if see anything that needs to be changed or expanded upon in the manual.

Thank you. I came looking for a specific answer (how to edit comments before posting because I believe this changed from previous version) and you had the answer. Awesome.

I would have been lost with your resource. I wish I had found it before I wasted so much time wandering around trying to figure it out myself.

Thanks, newdeal. I’ll be adding a few updates next month, based on teachers’ FAQs during several upcoming workshops. Let me know if there’s anything you think needs to be added or needs more clarification.
